Meet the team

Wirelab Records started in Glasgow in 2014, born from producer Colin Wright (CJW)’s determination to put good music out into the world without waiting for someone else’s permission. He founded the label around deep house, deep tech, minimal, and techno sounds built on groove and intention.When Barry Johnstone (Dark Kandy) joined as co-collaborator in 2023, the label hit its stride: a consistent monthly release schedule, a tighter roster, and a growing community around the music. Contributions from artists like Funk D’Void along the way have added to the label’s credibility in the scene.Today, Wirelab is home to Late Night Cuts, Hermetik, and Rhys Williams, with more in the pipeline. And on 29th August 2026, the label takes its next step — bringing the music off the record and into the room with its first ever Wirelab club night.
