Audiothief Rescue Mission aka Uwe Hahnewald was born in Dresden, in the former East Germany in 1977. Heavily influenced by the electronic music of the 80s and 90s and bands like Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode, he started composing in the early-90s using a Yamaha keyboard and an Atari MIDI sequencer. Since then, he is following a hands-on approach Prompted by Pitch Control in 2000, a weekly radio show hosted by Chris Liebing featuring the latest techno releases, he started collecting Techno vinyl’s. After moving to South Germany, he began DJ-ing for regional clubs in the following years. 2003, he was nominated among ten of the best new Techno DJ talents in the Freiburg.
